Grade 1-3 Another excellent book in Simon's computer book series, this one introduces youngsters to the computer language Logo (based on the LSCI version of Logo). Concise explanations of the basic commands or primitives are presented. Youngsters are exposed to the concepts of degrees and how the turtle turns on the computer screen. The REPEAT command and the development of procedures are also introduced. Overall, this volume is a well-done introduction to the Logo language for children. However, The Turtle Sourcebook (Reston, 1983) by Muller still provides a more comprehensive study for youngsters. JTGrades 3-6
