Kindergarten-Grade 2-There are many books about children and bath time, but this one is a lot of fun. Packed with action and adventure, it will delight those youngsters who enjoy superheroes and imagine themselves as caped crusaders. As a boy prepares to take his bath, his toys come alive, and trouble ensues. That is when he turns into Bathman and saves the day, just in time before his mother calls him to dinner. Each of the toys has an entertaining name, such as a tugboat named Toots. The illustrations complement the clever text well, reinforcing the humor. There is one quibble: the large, easy-to-read font makes for large text boxes and, as a result, some of the pages are quite busy. Overall, though, this is a creative offering that will certainly spark children's imaginations and possibly make them eager to hop into the tub.-Lisa S.
