From AudioFile:
A well-done fantasy along the lines of Harry Potter, this second installment in the Children of the Lamp series is a treat. Twelve-year-old twins John and Philippa Gaunt reprise their roles as New Yorkers with hidden magical powers. Their djinn (genie) world becomes threatened when the magical incantation book is stolen, and the twins set off to recapture it. Ron Keith's skilled narration delivers wicked villains, tension, and excitement as the twins struggle to free themselves from the trap set for them. Keith's portrayal of the kids reveals their youthful determination without stereotypical childish tones, and his classy voice helps to bridge the gap between the world of contemporary preteens and a classic quest.
