The book consists Of notes in expanded form, collected from various sources in leisure hours extending over many years. Although great care has been taken to be accurate, no claim is made to infallibility, and doubt less the experienced reader will note, here and there, the inevitable errors and omissions, the correction Of which will be valued by me as a contribution to bistori cal accuracy.
