Kindergarten-Grade 2 - Simple sentences tell about the moon, seasons, and sun. Unfortunately, these basic facts do not provide more information than what most children will already know. In addition, generalizations and simplifications may lead to some misconceptions, e.g., the sun rises and sets, that the weather is very cold in the winter, that leaves change color in the fall, and that the moon has holes in it called craters (defined in the glossary as "large holes in the ground caused by bombs or falling objects"). Each spread consists of a line or two of large-print text opposite a colorful stock photo.
