Based on three decades of ethnographic fieldwork and documentary research, this book traces the political and social history of the Shahsevan, one of the major nomadic peoples of Iran. Richard Tapper lived and worked around the world before spending six years on the Spanish island of Mallorca owning and operating a tapas bar and restaurant. He currently lives in Australia.
