In this rousing adventure, two chums, Susie Potts and Gumball Gumford, end up with a magic lamp complete with genie while collecting white elephants for a school fair. Granting him his wish (and providing the moral that we should be careful about our wishes for they may come true), the genie turns Gumball invisible. The black-and-white cartoons, complete with dialogue balloons, fill the pages, while the text is worked in around them.
