Elementary Technical Mathematics - Hardcover
An applications-based text designed for students with a minimal math background who are enrolled technical or vocational programs. The first chapters in the text can be used intensively or only as review of basic concepts such as signed numbers, fractions, and decimal fractions and percents. The book uses the scientific calculator extensively, and includes an appendix illustrating the most basic calculator operations for students who have limited calculator skills.

About the Author:
Dale Ewen, Executive Vice President of Parkland College, Illinois, (1999-present), graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in 1963 and an M. Ed. in 1966. He has been the recipient of several AMATYC (American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges) awards and served as the organization's President (1989-91). Dale continues to write a number of technical mathematic textbooks.
Robert Nelson teaches music theory and composition at the Moores School of Music, University of Houston. A composer in residence and music director of the Houston Shakespeare Festival for 17 seasons, he has also received numerous commissions for compositions and arrangements for the Houston Symphony Orchestra.
