Julie Christie has enchanted cinema-goers for four decades. Born on her father's tea plantation in Assam, India, she became an icon of the 1960s. About the Author:
Anthony Hayward is the author of Phantom: Michael Crawford Unmasked and collaborated with Sheila Mercier on her autobiography, Annie's Song: My Life & Emmerdale. He has has also written many books about television stars and programmes, including Who's Who on Television, TV Unforgettables and The Making of Moll Flanders. He regularly writes for the Independent and is a contributor to Chambers Biographical Dictionary and the New Dictionary of National Biography.
