About the Author:

Author Dennis E. Dalton, a descendant from pioneer stock including the Boone family, inherited his love of history by listening to the stories of his great-grandfather Elijah M. Casey. For over 50 years, Dalton has involved himself in historical lectures, storytelling, and tourism. In 1993, the Warren County Board of Commissioners officially named him “Warren County Town Crier,” an avocation he still thoroughly enjoys.
