About the Author:
Alex Montgomery is a highly respected football journalist who has covered nine World Cup Finals and is a former chairman of the Football Writers' Association. He has worked as chief football writer for a number of the country's biggest newspapers and is now operating as a freelance principally for the Mail on Sunday and the Daily Mail.
