With the exception of the rather confusing placement of the photos for the discussion of "first position," the generally excellent illustrations are a real asset. The text itself is clear and concise, if a bit clipped, appealing to its audience particularly in its use of comparisons between mime and athletics , and the glossary and index make the terminology and subjects readily accessible.
