Grade 3-6Young Fenton P. Smith, detec tive and master of disguise, and his partner Gerald Grubbs inadvertently switch briefcases with a bank robber. The story then takes off as the detec tives try to return the money; are mis taken for bankrobbers; and then try to catch the real robber. They are out smarted at almost every turn by their smart and smart-alecky classmate Mae Donna Dockstadter. The characters are overdrawn, and the plot is more silly than comedic, but it all rolls along at a merry pace.
