From Library Journal:
The author divides her developmental model of courtship into three stages: selection of a partner, pursuit, and commitment to the relationship. By identifying the range of reactions normally experienced at each stage, she makes the entire process easy to understand. Her use of case vignettes illuminates the model and helps free people from the "right person" syndrome. Sills's commonsense advice will spare readers many an embarrassing moment and show them when it is time to leave a fruitless relationship. Her clearly written book will be useful to young adult readers and those contemplating remarriage. Librarians should be aware, however, that it is based on an acceptance of premarital sex as normal and makes no judgment as to its impact on young couples. John M.
