About the Author:

Ray B. Browne, co-founder of the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association, founded the Department of Popular Culture, Bowling Green State University, the Popular Press, the Journal of Popular Culture, and the Journal of American Culture. He has written or edited more than 60 books on various aspects of American Culture.

Marshall W. Fishwick, co-founder of the Popular Culture Association/ American Culture Association, is the author or editor of dozens of books, and scores of articles on American Culture. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. from Yale. He is currently Professor of Performing Arts and Communications at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
