About the Author:

Michael McLaughlin was an assistant juvenile supervisor of the Youth Services Department of Boston and a correctional officer in Billerica and Walpole State Prison, where he rose to become President of the guards' union. He currently owns McLaughlin Financial, Inc., in Salem, MA, a mortgage company licensed in MA, NH & ME.
