Book Description Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. One curious fact emerges when the buildings lost in the Canterbury blitz are examined: most of the Georgian city was destroyed, whilst the majority of the older timber framed buildings survived. All of the major religious buildings also escaped destruction, although most of them were badly blasted. The most important building in Canterbury, the Cathedral, had the luckiest escape of all, although its survival was not all down to luck. 48pp plus covers, illustrated in black and white.
