Margaret grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and lives on WaterOak Plantation in Tallahassee, Florida next to Millstone Plantation, an historically preserved sheep farm. Her husband Tom C. Johnson, is a retired business executive and World War II D-Day veteran of Omaha Beach. They have three children and five grandchildren.
During her seventy two years, Margaret has nurtured all types of animals through uncertain, shaky, and wobbly babyhoods. She has raised horses, dogs, cats, ducks, squirrels, and of course, little wooly lambs...especially one lamb in particular, Berber. His true story was begging to be told...
