In the twenty years that I've been working in sports psychology, the field has undergone a major transformation. The current acceptance of sports psychology is a welcome change from the early days when it was considered a questionable, perhaps frivolous, waste of an athlete's time. I quickly realized that what was good for a sport was also good for other aspects of life.
