Review:
This memorable book is an adventure that no reader will ever forget. It takes us deep into the cities and forests of South America; even deeper into the heart of a family; and deeper yet into the heart and spirit of a woman in search of herself. It is a moral and courageous story, a classic journey, that confronts everything from conventional approaches to education and child-rearing to the foundations of knowledge itself. --Charles Wilkins, Best selling author of Walk to New York.

A psychological as much as a geographical journey; written with heartfelt emotional authenticity. --Jean-Christian Auclair, Quebec City
