Travel with Tech as he deals with the dilemma of hustling, murder, betrayal and prison. Proving that sometimes crime can pay. Other times you must pay for the crime!

Tech is a character anyone can relate to. Whether it’s yourself who’s doing a bid, whether you’ve trooped it with someone who’s doing a bid, or if you simply know someone who’s doing a bid-you can relate. Tech is currently serving time in a New York state correctional facility for killing a guy who has killed his brother. And everyone knows if you’re convicted of killing someone you’re sure to serve a life sentence in jail. Or are you? Luckily for Tech, the sentence he’s serving is no where close to a life sentence. However, everyone in ‘The Hood’ is convinced that Tech will never walk the streets again as a free man, including Prince. Prince is "the man" of the moment. He also happens to be the man who just killed Tech’s only other brother he had left while Tech is in jail. Prince isn’t concerned about what Tech will do to him-in fact he’s convinced Tech is never coming home. Prince is only concerned with money, hoes and clothes. As the pages turn the drama unfolds. Ladies and Gentlemen, hustlers and hustleets get prepared to be taken through the game as it is played one page at a time. From ‘The Hoods’ in Queens, New York to Durham, North Carolina, to all over the world, EBANDTE INC. presents to you... THE HOOD If you’ve never been to ‘The Hood’ but you’d like to see what it’s all about, open this book and you will be there!

About the Author:
Ebony Stroman is a Queens, New York native. Growing up in one of Queens' roughest toughest projects, Ebony is no stranger to The Hood. Loyalty, strength and wisdom was installed in her at an early age. In April of 2002, Ebony was put to the ultimate test! Her mother, Sabrina Stroman passed away; leaving Ebony to raise her two younger sisters, who were 11 and 14 years old at the time. Like the true soldier she is, Ebony simply dealt with it. Ebony didn't use this devastating and life-altering loss as an excuse to leave her incarcerated husband, abandon her sisters or even depend on the welfare system. Instead, Ebony continued to work as a legal secretary at a New York PI Law Firm. However, the firm fell on hard times, eventually causing the partners to halt its practice. For the first time since age 14, Ebony was unemployed. During this time Ebony began writing The Hood in an effort to pass time. After sharing this project with her husband, Dante, he not only encouraged her to finish, but he helped her develop the story line as well. But, in the middle of this, a job Ebony applied for awhile back reared its head. The job was NYPD. Ebony joined the police academy, but it didn't take long for her to realize; her heart was not in the job and NYPD was not where she wanted to be. After two months, Ebony resigned. With the help, patients, understanding and encouragement of her husband and sisters, Ebony pursued getting her book published. This to proved to be a difficult task, causing Ebony to once again, take charge of her own destiny. At the tender age of 22, Ebony started her own publishing company EBANDTE INC. PUBLISHING. EBANDTE is the couples name put together [EB]ony AND Dan[TE]. The rest is history.
