In May 2006, long-distance hiker, 'No Way' Ray Echols lost his life in an accidental fall while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. He had 50 year's experience in mountains all over the world. In the previous year, he had completed the 2,650-mile trail from Mexico to Canada, and was hiking it again.
