This set of 5 review books will prepare you for the "Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist" (RCIS) and Certified Interventional Technologist (CIT) examinations. The RCIS is the national board exam which may be taken by all cardiac cath lab staff members, RNs, RTs, and CVTs. The CIT is the national board exam for RTs. It may also be used for cardiac employee in-service and continuing education. This set of 5 books prepares readers for the national invasive exams also contains necessary information to prepare for CCI's CV Science exam. Volume #1 in this set contains all this CV Science information. It can also be purchased seperately. This is the accepted study guide of choice for the cath lab exam for nurses & techs. The format is very readable and the graphics extremely helpful. The real meat comes in the explanations - following each questions where Todd discusses each question - why it is important, tips, WHY the answer is correct and WHY the distracters are wrong. It makes you think. The cost is high, but worth every penny when you consider the scope and size of the books. Together this set is 5 inches thick!
