Review:
Every word worth reading, every picture worth looking at, this book makes one weep in some places and laugh out loud in others. Above all, it makes the reader really care about its subject, the ultimate test of literary and graphic art. I've read many of the harness racing articles and books published over the last 200 years and have never seen any better than this one. --Russell Williams, Past Chairman, American Horse Council
Old Friends is a poignant journey down memory lane...a path which only award-winning photographer Barbara Livingston can lead, while harness racing writer Ellen Harvey provides the narration. Together, they have hit the trifecta of emotional, literary and visual artistic excellence. A must-have for any horse lover or fan of harness racing. --Chris Tully, President of US Harness Writers Association
