The Hebrew-origin names Judea-Samaria have been Israel s hill country s names for millennia. The UN used them in 1947. They re not the media s Biblical name for the West Bank, which Jordan coined in 1951. The media s traditionally Arab East Jerusalem never existed. Jerusalem has been a unified city except for 19 of the past 3,000 years, capital of 3 natives states, all Jewish, and with a renewed Jewish majority since the 1800 s. About the Author:

Lee S. Bender (Cornell, B.A. 1984; William & Mary, J.D. 1988), a former Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney, has been in private practice as a trial attorney since 1995. He is Co-President of the Zionist Organization of America-Greater Philadelphia District, and a board member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Philadelphia, among many other organizations. He lives with his wife and two sons in the Philadelphia region. Jerome R. Verlin (Washington & Lee Univ., B.S., 1961, Univ. of Pennsylvania, LLB, 1964) is the author of Israel 3000 Years (Pavilion Press, 2011), and the weekly Brith Sholom Media Watch, analyzing mainstream media portrayal of Israel in news articles. He is a past national president of the fraternal order Brith Sholom and a vice-president of the Greater Philadelphia District of the Zionist Organization of America.
