About the Author:

About the Author Born in Oil City, PA, Ron Harman grew up on a family farm near the small town of Tionesta. To this day not only are there no traffic lights or four-lane highways in Tionesta - there are none in the whole county. The day after graduating from Penn State University with a degree in business and accounting, Ron began employment with a local bank. Over the years the former high school valedictorian advanced from Teller to Assistant Vice-President, and along the way he began writing articles that were used by numerous banking organizations for state and national banking publications. Ron earned several banking degrees from the American Institute of Banking, graduated from the three-year Central Atlantic School of Banking at Bucknell University, and achieved designation as a Certified Bank Auditor. A meeting with country music singer Jeannie Seely - a former banker from Ron's hometown area - led to a series of articles about her for newspapers and publications, as well as a museum exhibit and other projects. As a free-lance writer Ron called upon other well-known western PA natives as subjects for his many feature stories. Eventually Ron concentrated on covering country artists and events as he continued to write for various publications, including nationally circulated country music magazines. Ron's involvement in country music and dancing - along with the encouragement of friend Seely - resulted in his 1998 decision to relocate to Nashville, TN. Calling on his banking background he began his present career as the Vice President and Director of Education for a financial services and ACH software company. He also completed the requirements to become an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP). In addition to his full-time job, Ron is employed part-time as a supervisor at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
