About the Author:
Motivational speaker and author, Jim Ryan, has always followed his passion for helping and teaching others. After receiving his Masters in Guidance and Counseling he continued on his path as a French and Italian instructor. His appreciation for people and community further lead him to the business sector as a financial planner and then to volunteering in his local prison system teaching a course in personal development. Inspired by the overwhelmingly positive feedback from his programs, he decided to take his powerful message to larger audiences. Jim has since published his book Simple Happiness: 52 Easy Ways to Lighten Up, and developed several highly effective talks that continue to encourage his ever-widening audience to find the road to lasting happiness. Jim is a family man who serves many in his hometown community. He is a member of the National Speakers Association, a longstanding member of the Rotary International and past-president of The Northport Rotary Club. In 2005, Jim was named "Man of the Year in Civics" by the The Times of Northport. He is also a graduate of "Leadership Huntington", a highly-recognized program offered by the Huntington Chamber Foundation. Jim has been a guest on several radio programs, featured in Long Island Business News and appeared on the cable television show, God Squad, with nationally acclaimed co-hosts Father Tom Hartman and Rabbi Gellman. A talented musician, Jim also enjoys playing his guitar at informal gatherings as well as sharing a song or two at every talk. He is a man with a big heart--always inspiring the people he touches to live empowered, joyful lives. For more information about Jim, visit www.JimRyanTalks.com
Review:
Simple Happiness is a magical and touching combination of logic, awareness and spirit. Ryan inspires us with his charisma, uplifting messages and thought provoking anecdotes. --William Sinunu, Author of Life Could Be Sweeter
[Jim] you have surpassed Dale Carnegie, Norman Vincent Peale and even Wayne Dyer in one very important aspect. It is your voice. While reading [Simple Happiness] I heard you taking to me. There was no bombast, no pedantic style, just a friend sharing with another friend some profound secrets he has discovered and now wants to pass on with enthusiasm. It was as if you were on a chair next to me telling me some great strategies that have worked for you. --Fred Chernow, Author of The Sharper Mind
I was moved by the simplicity of your insights. I keep a copy in my office and refer to it often. I always find something to help ease the daily stress of my work. I have purchased and distributed copies to my top managers and executives. I give it my highest recommendation. --Chintu Patel, CEO, Amneal Pharmaceuticals
