I wrote this here book. It’s a made-up tale about hard times in Florida back in the late 1800s and early 1900s. How families dealt with it. Men had to work hard and make difficult decisions, jist to have food on the table for their families. It sometimes meant pickin’ up and movin’ somewhere else, like it done for us. A bad winter ‘bout took away our way to make a livin’ in Okahumpka, so I’m gonna take y’all on the journey my family and I took to git to Homosassa where the winters warn’t so hard. Y’all’ll git to read ‘bout my life as a 10 year old boy clear till the end. In this-here book, I borrowed the names of my real-life friends I’ve met along the way, and used jist their names to create this fun story. The only truth to the book is the names of my friends and the towns mentioned throughout the book. But the life I’ve given all these friends in the book is total fiction at its best. I think y’all’ll enjoy the journey.
