About the Author

Wendy Lehman lives in West Chester, PA with her husband and three children. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and has a Master’s of Education. She taught kindergarten in Philadelphia, PA for seven years and left her career to raise her children. She enjoys traveling with her family and has always been an animal lover. She has volunteered with her children in shelters as well as organizing collection donations. She has rescued many animals and currently has a rescue dog and five cats. One of the five was a stray taken home from the island of Turks and Caicos while on vacation. Her love for animals, education and passion for reading were inspirational in creating this story. She is a member of the SCBWI.
