In this book, David and Laurie introduce four themes of worship. And in a most interesting and anecdotal way they lead us into four very central issues of worship - that we are the people of praise, the people of the event, the people of celebration, and the people of service - and they do so in a way that is faithful to the biblical and historical tradition of Christian worship.

From the Back Cover:
What does it mean to worship the God who made the universe? Is it simply a feeling we get when we're in church? Or is it an action that begins with our own will? And if it is an action, how do we DO it?

Join Chapel of the Air radio broadcaster David Mains and his daughter-in-law, Laurie, as they explain how active worship is the key to experiencing the transforming presence of God in every aspect of our spiritual lives. In this dynamic and life-changing book they will describe what it means to be:

* "People of Praise" by responding each day to the grandeur of God;
* "People of the Event" by reliving what Christ has done and what he continues to do;
* "People of Celebration" by taking great delight in the Lord's presence;
* "People of Service" by sacrificing to others as unto the King.

God's rightful place is first and highest in our lives. Here David and Laurie share ways to make that evident to him as we leave the dull confines of the pew and enter the courts of the Living God.
