About this title

About the Author:

John Bicknell has been an editor for more than 25 years, including almost a dozen years at Congressional Quarterly and its successor, CQ Roll Call. At CQ, he has led teams covering social policy, legal affairs, defense, foreign policy and intelligence. He also served as editor of CQ Homeland Security. Before coming to CQ, he held various editing positions for the Bradenton Herald, a Knight-Ridder (now McClatchy) newspaper in Florida, including assistant city editor and features editor. He has a bachelor's degree in political science from Indiana State University and lives in Haymarket, Va., with his wife, Arwen, (also an editor at CQ), son Thomas, and cats Jane and Gilda.

David Meyers joined the Roll Call staff in 1996 as editorial assistant, providing research assistance to Executive Editor Morton Kondracke. After serving as copy editor and news editor, he was named managing editor of Roll Call Daily in 2001, helping grow the newspaper's online presence. In 2003 he became managing editor for the entire newsroom, responsible for the copy desk, production process and online operations.  Following Roll Call's acquisition of CQ, he was named managing editor of Member Information and Research, overseeing print and online products related to federal, state and local officeholders and staffs. He holds a bachelor's degree in English and political science from Tufts University and lives in Fairfax, Va., with his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Samantha and Sophie.
