About the Author:

Since the 1950's, Neil Solomon, M.D., has devoted his life to the study and practice of medicine. In 1961 he graduated with honors from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, with a Medical Degree and a Master of Science degree in Integrated Biological Sciences. Later he did his clinical training on the celebrated Osler Medical Service at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. At the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution, he won the coveted Schwentker Award for excellence in research.

While on the Johns Hopkins Medical School faculty, Dr. Solomon spent two years with the National Institutes of Health conducting research in the fields of nutrition, physiology, medicine, gerontology, endocrinology and heart disease. It was during this time that Dr. Solomon received his doctorate in physiology, with minors in biochemistry and biophysics from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. For a decade (1969 - 1979), Dr. Solomon served as the first Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene in Maryland.

Besides beinga devoted doctor and researcher, Dr. Solomon has also published several books, and is a New York Times best-selling author. In addition, he has enjoyed being a radio and television talk show host, the first health commentator on CNN, and a medical columnist for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate for over 18 years. His interest in preventative medicine and natural healing has motivated him to write five other works about Morinda Citrifolia besides this one.
