About the Author:

Maurizio Valerio is a rancher, naturalist, writer and devoted outdoorsman who decided to live with the wild animals that he cherishes so much in the Wallowa Mountains in Northeast Oregon. He has traveled extensively throughout the world for over 25 years. He received a Doctoral degree Summa Cum Laude in Natural Science, from the University of Parma, Italy, and a Master of Arts degree in Zoology from the University of California, Berkeley.
