John Fulker, like most attorneys, is an inveterate story-teller. Perhaps as an innocuous hobby, but most certainly as an obsession, he has spent much of his leisure time, over the past thirty years, in researching and reproducing in novelized format, the circumstances and the subsequent legal proceedings involved in a number of the more bizarre, outré and/or high-profile murder cases which have occurred and played out in his own Miami County, Ohio, over the entire course of its existence.

The senior partner of the Troy law firm of Faust, Harrelson, Fulker, McCarthy and Schlemmer, and presently in his 60th year of active legal practice, Fulker has previously authored four books, constituting an eight-piece anthology concerning such cases, all of which have been carefully selected because of the unique character of the crime itself, the participants, the extraordinary media attention accorded, the singular events of the ensuing trials or some other nuance by which the cases were distinguished from the humdrum of our American judicial system.
