Crime Thriller set in Spain.

This first book of the Andalusian Mystery series finds grizzled veteran detective Leon Prado and two lonesome translators--retired British soldier Phillip Armitage and American videographer Amanda Salisbury--frantically hunting elusive people traffickers among the stunning landscapes and historic towns of Andalusia.

Among those they've taken is Juliet, a beautiful English friend of Phillip troubled by her own somber secrets. Under the searing summer heat, blue skies and swaying palm trees, Prado and his team discover that a depraved entertainment is planned for the young victims. The deadline is imminent--the clock is ticking and for Phillip--itīs personal.
"A captivating, colorful mystery by an author well-versed in its setting." Kirkus Reviews

"An exciting and talented new literary voice in an ever-popular genre, Darkness In Malaga proves a discerning read and is recommended without reservation." BookViral

About the Author:
Paul S Bradley, originally from London, England, has lived in Nerja, Spain since 1992, where he established a marketing agency to help Spanish businesses sharpen their communications to the rapidly growing number of foreign visitors. He's traveled extensively around the Iberian Peninsula, visiting most of the ancient cities and countless wine bodegas. In the early years, he published lifestyle and property magazines, guidebooks and travelogues in English, German and Spanish. More recently, discerning Americans and Canadian Alumni groups have enjoyed his tour director services. He's lectured about Living in Spain, and bullfighting and has appeared on local radio and TV. The Andalusian Mystery Series draws on his own experiences as a voluntary translator in hospitals and police stations.
Review:
Bradley's masterful narrative slowly builds momentum, gaining speed as it headstoward a harrowing climax. The British author has lived in and traveledthroughout Spain for the last quarter-century, and in his hands, Costa del Solbecomes a character all its own: "A few fluffy white clouds speckled an azuresky, contrasting against the deeper bluey turquoise of the calm Mediterranean."Bradley's knowledge of the region's people and events gives the novel a firmsense of authenticity. Meanwhile, his trio of bruised characters determinedlywork for the greater good, and readers will root for them and look forward tofuture installments.                                                                                                                             Kirkus Reviews

Taut, superbly executed and consistently engrossingDarknessIn Malaga might be Paul S Bradley's debut release but he haswritten itwith the acerbic pen of a seasoned author and it makes for agenuinepage-turner. Mystery and crime fiction remain ever popular butfar toomany offerings are marred by ensemble-proof protagonists andthis issomething Bradley has avoided whilst clever twists and a welcome streakof dry humour hold our attention throughout. Clearly, he has his sightsset on a series and in ex Spanish Legionnaire turned detectivePrado hehas created a dapper and conflicted character who proves whollyintriguing. Ex-intelligence officer Philip Armitage is equallywellcrafted but what really sets Bradley's debut on a pedestal ishisability to capture the ambience of his chosen setting. From theminuteto the bigger picture his enticing descriptions of Nerja andthesurrounding locality bring the heat and drama of Spain's Costa delSolto life. Sandy beaches, surrounding mountains and the continuingallureof the Mediterranean through which he weaves a hypnotic spellofmystery, suspense and pure escapism. BookViral
