Fleming, Ian. COMPLETE COLLECTION (two short stories & five novels) OF JAMES BOND'S FIRST APPEARANCES IN PLAYBOY MAGAZINE: THE HILDEBRAND RARITY (March 1960), ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE (April-June 1963), THE PROPERTY OF A LADY (January 1964), YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (April-June 1964), THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (April-July 1965), and OCTOPUSSY (March-April 1966). 14 issues in total, each with a unique illustration and 13 of the 14 are either Fine or Near Fine (April 1964 is Very Good, with some light wear and a small tear to front cover). A really rare grouping in this sort of superior condition (bright and clean, with all centerfolds intact). The relationship between Ian Fleming and Hugh Hefner was an important one for their respective "brands" as that synergy helped validate James Bond and Playboy Magazine as the definition /destination for all things sexy, sophisticated, and suave. A not-to-be-missed opportunity for the James Bond 007 collector. Bookseller Inventory # 001514
