This is a 2 volume set. Original leather with gilt lettering on spine and marbled on all edges. 10 1/4 X 13 1/4 inches. Illustrated with more than 3,000 black and white illustrations. Volume I has 479 pages. Volume II has 484 with 8 pages of index for both volumes and 8 pages of appendices. Both volumes are half bound with brown leather and raised bands. Beautiful pastedown endpapers in both volumes. Volume I has 24 full page black and white plates, volume II has 38 full page black and white plates. Several of the plates in volume II have soiled marks on the edges, however illustrations are not affected. All plates in both volumes are present and tight. Both volumes have several pages that are dirty, but again, text and illustrations are not affected. Volume I is chipped at tail and lower edge of front cover. Volume II is chipped on back cover, approx 1/2 inch. The two volumes have information on many tools and equipment one would find in machine shop or garage. Copy's are clean, tight and complete.
