About the Author: Is an assistant professor of public relations at DePaul University. Dr. Liu?s research examines how government organizations manage communication during crisis and non-crisis situations. She received her Ph.D. in mass communication from University of North Carolina in 2006. Dr. Liu is an active public affairs volunteer for the American Red Cross.
