Synopsis: In a world where business ethics have taken a back seat to the pursuit of wealth and power and movements like political correctness have muzzled the fair exchange of ideas, is it any wonder that the average employee views the workplace with suspicion and consequently checks their loyalties at the office door? Dishonesty has crept into the workplace and undermined organizational performance. Navigating this environment is a difficult task for employees and managers alike.

Swapping Lies! takes the issue of deception in the workplace head on. In a powerful blend of academic research, common sense business advice, and home spun tales, the author presents a case for change. In doing so, he offers more than 80 "Tips" designed to help the reader navigate today's complex work environment. In a refreshing change in presentation and style this author provides a third dimension in his footnotes. In addition to a comprehensive list of references, the author uses the footnote as a running commentary on the main text. Much like an alter ego, each footnote adds a deeper insight to both the subject at hand and the author himself.

All in all, Swapping Lies! is a real world view of today's organization and a no-nonsense approach to effective organizational management.

From the Author: In this book I have asked the reader to be aware and to assess their environment. I do so because deception has reached into the workplace to such a degree that major corporations are failing. The problem has but one fix: you, the reader. Like Smokey the Bear, only you can prevent this from happening. If you choose not to be aware and if you choose not to assess your environment, then you are tolerating and encouraging deception, making employee relations and good management problematic at best. If good people stand silent and consequently tolerate an environment of deception and dishonor, then we can expect a lousy ending to our story. I wish us a better ending, donít you?
