Soft cover. Condition: Good. pp115-129. Removed from FILSON CLUB HISTORY QUARTERLY, Vol 70, No. 2, April, 1996. In report covers. VG. May include a first or last copied page. The author was the founding editor of The American Voice, a literary journal in Louisville, Kentucky. While on a trip to southern France om 1993, he and his wife met totally by accident the daughter of the author, Kay Boyle. Coincidentally, the daughter told Smock that she knew someone from Louisville, Maria Jolas. Jolas had published many of the expatriate authors of the 20's and 30's in her magazine, Transition. Even more coincidental, Smock, himself, had agreed to publish Kay Boyle's other daughter's first story in The American Voice in 1987, before he knew she was Boyle's daughter.
