Contacting a Bookseller Directly

 

AbeBooks provides easy-to-use links to contact a bookseller directly for both pre-purchase and post-order questions. Simply follow the applicable instructions below.

 

Contacting a Bookseller Before Placing Your Order:

 

  1. Locate a book in the Search Results.

  2. Click [Ask Bookseller a Question] on the bottom of that book's listing.

  3. If you aren't already signed on to your AbeBooks account, please sign on or create an account now.

  4. On the Ask a Question page, enter your question the 'Comments or questions' box. Your email address, the seller's email address, and the book details will automatically be included.

  5. Click the [Send Question] button.

 

Contacting a Bookseller About a Book You've Already Ordered:

 

  1. Sign on to your AbeBooks account using your email Address and password.

  2. Click [View My Purchases] in the Members Menu.

  3. Click the [Item Details] link located to the right of the item you'd like to inquire about.

  4. Click the [Ask Bookseller a Question] button.

For both methods above, the email we send on your behalf automatically includes the book details. A copy of the email is also saved in your AbeBooks account and a copy is sent to your email address.

AbeBooks Policy requires that booksellers respond to all buyer inquiries within 2 business days. If you contact a bookseller using the method above and do not receive a response within that time frame, please use the link to the right to Contact Customer Support and we will be happy to follow up on your behalf.
