About the Author:
Jeffrey A. Schoenblum (B.A. Johns Hopkins 1970; J.D. Harvard 1973) joined the faculty of Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1977 after practicing law at Wilkie, Farr & Gallagher and clerking on the Second Circuit for Judge Edward Lumbard. Since his arrival, Professor Schoenblum has established himself as one of the world's preeminent scholars and experts on international estate taxation and wealth transfers. He has published several well-received books and articles in his field. In 1999, he organized a symposium in conjunction with the Journal of Transnational Law on International Trust Law that drew to Vanderbilt some of the world's leading scholars and practitioners in the field. Professor Schoenblum has also been invited to deliver a number of lectures, including the Norton Rose Lecture at Oxford, the Paolo Fresco Lecture at the University of Genoa, and most recently delivered the Nottingham Lecture.
