About the Author:

Lucien Gubbay has his roots in the Sephardi communities of Manchester, England, and the Middle East. Born in Buenos Aires, he was educated at the Manchester Grammar School and Balliol College, Oxford, after which he served in the Royal Air Force. His books include Origins, Ages of Man, The Jewish Book of Why and What, Quest for the Messiah, and The Sephardim. He lives in London.
