About the Author:
Gail B. Stewart is the author of more than two hundred books for children and young adults. She received her undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. She did her graduate work in English, linguistics, and curriculum study at the College of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota. She taught English and reading for more than ten years. Stewart and her husband live in Minneapolis. When she is not writing she enjoys reading, walking and watching her sons play soccer. Paul Phillips knows the intensity of training and the pressure of competition. An endurance athlete his entire adult life, Paul has been a marathon runner, cyclist and triathlete. He knows the feeling of being in the pack and knows what it means when the only competition is you and the clock. His understanding of the sport and eye-level with the action, Paul brings that intensity to you.
