About the Author:
I was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1943 and grew up in Vancouver, B.C. Moved south in 1969 for graduate degrees at the University of Michigan and the University of Hawai’i. Set sail for Japan in 1977. Stayed 20 years then took up a position teaching English to children out of the Saudi Arabian desert, and this was followed by a 10-year college stint in Muscat, Oman. Full-time retirement is drawing near, a chance to take up full-time writing in rainy Cornwall, Ontario. Being just a few hours to choices like Montreal, Boston, Toronto and New York City, I know I will have tons of subject matter for a tower of self-published books. Perhaps this is a good time to offer thanks to Professor Shue Tuck Wong of Simon Fraser University for sketching the dimensions of a life’s journey back in 1967.
