Grandmaster Austin Wright Sr., aka Soke (Founder) is bonded to work in the State of New Jersey, and certified to promote Black Belt instructors, Sensei (Teachers), and Hanshi (Masters). He is an author, Founder and President of the U.W.A. Martial Arts Federation of America. Austin Wright is a national and international Grand Champion and numerous time National Champions Coach and Trainer Austin Wright is the creator and promoter of the Universal Warrior Arts System. He is a Notary Public for the State of New Jersey, a Private School Educator, and Coordinator and Director of several clubs providing Self-Defense/Cardio Kickboxing programs in Hudson County, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Italy. His community involvement includes working with the Drug Elimination Program (D.E.P.), being a board member of the Bayonne Youth Center, and the Bayonne Housing Authority Youth/Teen Summer Camp and Karate Program. Wright is the New Jersey State Director for the US National Marital Team “Alliance.” He also served as the VFW Post 226 Chaplin, Vice Commander, and Quarter Master. He has been inducted in five different World Marital Art Halls of Fame. In 2005, Wright was a three time world gold medalist and World International Grand Champion. He is a motivator and man of respect and principle. Shihan Austin Wright is an advocate for “at risk” kids and teens, wherever there is a calling. He was born into Martial Arts as the son of a first generation martial arts teacher. Though second generation born, he was first generation trained. His first formal traditional Karate and Judo-Jujutsu training started at age five, under the direct supervision of his father and teacher, Head Master Dennis Austin Wright Sr.
