About the writer: Susan Strauss, a professional storyteller, is internationally known for her performances on natural history themes. She has performed at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, the National Geographic Society, and Columbia University. She is on the faculty of the University of Idaho and gives workshops for the National Park Service and the Forest Service. Susan is also the author of Coyote Stories for Children and Wolf Stories: Myths and True-Life Tales from Around the World, as well as award-winning audiocassettes. She lives in Bend, Oregon, with her husband and daughter.
