About the Author:
Richard E. Flanagan is a retired Major in the United States Air Force. He has had a wide variety of assignments from over 2600 combat hours in EC-121D’s, to Command of tactical units in Korea and Germany. He earned an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Plymouth College and a Master of Arts degree in Therapeutic Counseling from Ball State University. His military education included Officers Training School, Squadron Officers School, Air War College, and The Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF.)

Currently, he resides in Massachusetts. He works part-time at the Peabody Essex Museum as the Security Training Officer and writes western The Abilene Trail, is the story of three Texas brothers growing up in the turbulent days of the early 1800’s. The second novel of the trilogy, Spanish Gold will be complete in 2004. The saga of the Kincade brothers is a trilogy that covers the early 1800’s through the era of the Civil War.
