Baird Whitlock has conflated the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John into a single, continuous narrative, in which every word of the originals has its place. One of the results of his work is to clear up some of the difficulties of the text and some of the apparent contradictions. His purpose throughout has not been to advance or question this or that theological interpretation; it has been to make more fully available to the reader the foundation of the Christian Scriptures.

About the Author:
Baird W. Whitlock is professor of English and Humanities at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is the author of Don't Hold Them Back (1978), John Hoskyns: Sergeant-at-Law (1982), and Educational Myths I Have Known and Loved (1985).
