Casey McHale wants to be the first woman in the major leagues. But when she is beaned by a jealous rival, three baseball icons compete for control of her spirit - playful 'Turkey' Mike Donlin, belligerent Ty Cobb, and determined pioneer Jackie Mitchell. A disgruntled journalist, Buck Thrasher, is on the trail of a conspiracy that may involve Cobb, the Baseball Liberation Front, a hypnotic youth evangelist named Sebastian Sabbatini, and the world's most famous scary doctor. A surrealistic feminist baseball revenge fantasy, CASEY AND THE BAT has been called "explosive", "absolutely hypnotic", and "terribly unfair" - by its own characters!
